VIC YFP Diversity Forum 2023
- Diversity & Inclusion
- CPD: 1 Hour(s)
Being held at PwC in Melbourne CBD join the FINSIA & Victorian Young Finance Professionals (YFP) with leaders working in the diversity space.
It's not every day that you get to have an in-depth conversation with senior industry leaders on their experiences and thoughts on diversity in finance.
Great careers are built on more than just hard work. They’re defined by how well we handle adversity and navigate change and are shaped by the choices you make along the way.
How it works
At each table there will be a small group of young professionals and one diversity leader. You’ll have the opportunity to talk about your own experiences, as well as ask questions and listen to challenges and experiences these diversity leaders have faced throughout their own lives.
Throughout the night you will have the opportunity to change tables, giving you the chance to get a range of different perspectives and meet with fellow attendees. With two networking sessions you’ll also have time to search out and pick the brains of the leaders in the diversity space you admire as well as build your network with peers.
Why you should attend
Our Diversity Event allows young professionals to be able to speak directly to industry leaders who will share their insights, experience and thoughts on their professional journey and how the finance industry can progress and accelerate change in diversity.
Participants may be able to apply 1 hour towards meeting their annual continuing professional development obligations. It is the individual's obligation to determine relevance of CPD to their license conditions. Please see our terms and conditions and privacy policy.

Rochelle Pattison is one of the principals of Chimaera Capital Limited; a licenced financial services provider with specialties in investment management, custody and corporate advisory.
Raised on a farm outside Wagga Wagga, New South Wales, in the 1970s Rochelle was a typical young boy – who happened to dream of being a girl! Whilst they did not have the knowledge or vocabulary to understand their sense of not being right, they adapted to fit in; electing to suppress their identity.
Over time, the stresses of that suppression and their gender dysphoria began to significantly interfere with their life resulting in increasing mental health challenges including anxiety and depression.
In December 2017 she transitioned and now lives full time as a woman. Rochelle speaks about her life, gender dysphoria and her experience living as a woman of transgender experience.
In 2020 she was chosen as one of Australia's Outstanding 50 LGBTI+ Leaders by a survey undertaken by Deloittes, Google and Energy Australia.
