We would ensure we are pricing and reserving the right amounts so that our portfolios are set for their term of life.

What's the biggest factor shaping your industry right now?

Regulatory change and its impact on capital, industry safeguards and market liquidity.

What led you to pursue your career path in the first place and can you remember where and when the lightbulb came on?

I was working as an accountant in a bank and became fascinated with the business of money market dealing.

To what extent have your career goals changed/remained the same along the way?

The nature of banking keeps evolving, and my natural curiosity to continually understand that evolution has driven my goal setting.

What is the one thing you would have done differently in hindsight getting to where you are now?

I may have spent more time learning how to develop my ‘right brain’ capabilities.

Who is your most influential or inspirational professional influence and why?

Those entrepreneurs who successfully anticipate change and accordingly adapt to their new environments.  A great example is Konosuke Matsushita who started what is now Panasonic with just one product, an improved light socket.
